| Description |
This Boat Service action was won at Port Louis in Guadeloupe. While HMS Amethyst, Impetueux and Viper were attacking the port, Jeremiah Goughlan boarded, captured the French ship Cerbere and towed her out of the harbour while under fire from shore batteries. He earned promotion to Lieutenant even although he had not quite served the required time.
