| Description |
The action took place about 57 miles from Cadiz. The 3rd Rate ship-of-the-line HMS Thunderer engaged, boarded and took the French ship Achille (64-gun). During the battle one of Thunderer's forward guns exploded, causing many casualties. Thunderer lost 17 killed and 113 wounded.
